Jureano Mountain
Jureano Mountain is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.546m (8,353 ft) above the sea level located in the Salmon River Mountains, in Idaho, USA.
The peak is located within the Salmon - Challis National Forest. The road to the summit is called Rfd 325. It’s a gravel 4wd track. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice. At the summit there’s a fire lookout. This site was built in 1935 as a 60 foot steel tower with a 7 by 7 foot cab and an accompanying log cabin for living quarters. It was last used in the 1950's.
