A gravel road to the top of Waterman Hills
Waterman Hills is a mountain peak at an elevation of 1.025m (3,362ft) above the sea level, located in San Bernardino County, in the southern portion of the U.S. state of California.
Located in the Mojave Desert, just north of Barstow, the road to the summit is unpaved. Ideal time to travel is daylight. Not adviced night drive. The road is pretty steep. Starting from the paved Irwin Road, the ascent is 2.57km (1.6 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 183 meters. The average gradient is 7.12%. There are radio towers at the top. The summit offers stunning 360 views.
