How long is Route 32 in TN?
Running thru the Cherokee National Forest and Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the road is mostly paved. It’s 22.85km (14.2 miles) long running west-east from Cosby (in Cocke County in the U.S. state of Tennessee) to State Road 1332 (in North Carolina). The last 1.6 miles are gravel.
Is Route 32 in TN challenging?
It’s a long winding road with very light (if any) traffic and countless turns. Not recommended for RVs. These corners come up quick and require some skill. It is often referred to as the "Redneck Dragon. To drive the road without stopping will take most people between 40 and 50 minutes. The road has steep parts, hitting a 10% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Extreme care in the rain or shortly after a rain.
