The road to Michen La isn’t an easy one
Michen La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 5.162m (16,935ft) above the sea level, located in Sog County in the Nagqu Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

The road to the summit is pretty defiant. It’s called 627 County Road (Y627). Remember this is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain, with a notorius absence of oxygen. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor. It’s a cliff road running alongside a small creek. The pass road is 62km (38 miles) long, running from Sechangxiang to Gamuxiang.
