Abra Mio
Abra Mio is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.764m (15,629ft) above the sea level, located in the Huaral Province, Peru.
The road to the pass is gravel. After rain and snow some sections might need a 4x4 vehicle. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime and can sometimes block some sections of the road, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice. The road ends in a small town called Chungar, which is reached from the larger Vichaycocha to Cerro de Pasco road. On the south side of the pass is impressive Laguna Chungar.
