Abra de La Deidad is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.907m (16,099ft) above sea level, located in the Coquimbo Region of Chile. It’s one of the highest roads in the country.

The pass is located in the central part of the country, near the border with Argentina, to the east of Los Cuartitos.
Can you drive to Abra de La Deidad?
The road to the pass is entirely unpaved. It’s a mining road. The drive is not easy, with narrow sections, steep portions, and numerous hairpin turns.
Is Abra de La Deidad open in winters?
Set high in the Andes mountain range, due to its altitude, this road to the summit is open only in summers (from December through April). The rest of the year is blocked by snow. Wind and cold are the factors that must be considered.
