Collpani Road is not recommended if you're prone to car sickness
Located in the La Paz Department in Bolivia, the road to Collpani is one of the most hairpinned roads in the world. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Don’t stuff your belly too much. Eventually, you might feel vomiting temptations.
The road is gravel with very narrow parts. The most challenging part of the road is a collection of 52 hairpin turns in 10.4km. The climb is very steep. The ascent is 10.4km and the elevation gain is 819 meters, climbing from 3.075m to 3.894m above the sea level. The average gradient is 7.87%, with some parts up to 15%.
