Luribay winding road is an epic drive in Bolivia
Luribay winding road is the name of a very exciting curvy drive located location in the La Paz Department in Bolivia.
Set high in Cordillera Central mountain range, the road is totally unpaved. It’s 14.1 km (8.76 miles) long, running from Luribay (in the José Ramón Loayza Province) to Anchallani (in Loayza Province).
The drive is very scenic and features more than 40 turns (mostly hairpin turns).The road is very steep, hitting a 15% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at Luribay, the elevation gain is 1153 m. The average gradient is 8,1%.
