The road is totally unpaved ‘ripio’, in pretty good condition. An average car can do it, but it’s highly recommended to hire a 4x4 vehicle in order to minimize your chances of a mishap and maximize your comfort levels. Expect some narrow parts.

The road is 91km (56 miles) long starting from Ruta Nacional 3. It ends at the Irigoyen River. There’s a barrier on the road closing access to the last 22km.
