A gravel road to the Damas Pass border in the Andes
Paso de las Damas is an international high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.081m (10,108ft) above the sea level, located on the border of Chile and Argentina, in the Andes mountains.
The pass links Argentina’s Mendoza province and the Colchagua Province of the O'Higgins Region in Chile. The road is unpaved and challenging, with some steep sections and loose rocks. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor.
4x4 vehicles with high clearance only. Even though driving the road is a bit intimidating the views from the road are astonishing. Along the way you’ll have to cross a few deep rivers. Remember this is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain, with a notorius absence of oxygen.
