Fields Peak
Fields Peak is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.246m (7,368ft) above the sea level, located in Grant County, Oregon, in USA. The average gradient is brutal: 15.92%.
Located in the Blue Mountains of Oregon within the Malheur National Forest, the road to the summit is unpaved, steep and rough. It’s called NF-212. 4x4 vehicles with high clearance recommended.
The track is open from mid-June through November. There are numerous opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. Starting from NF-2160 road, the ascent is 3.9 km long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 621 meters. The average gradient is 15.92%. At the summit was a lookout built in 1933. The building was taken down by 1967.
