Utah State Route 44
UT-44 is a very scenic winding mountain road located in northern Utah, in USA.
Located in the Ashley National Forest within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, the road is asphalted. It winds through the dramatic geologic formations of the area. The drive offers absolutely amazing views. The pictures don't do it justice. Open to traffic throughout the year, may be closed for short periods in winter when the weather is bad.
The road is 34 min (27.9 miles) long. It’s pretty steep, climbing up to 2.323m (7,621ft) above the sea level. The drive runs north-south from Manila, a small town located on the northern edge of Daggett County, just south of the Wyoming border and Red Canyon, on the US-191 highway.
