How to get to Crystal Lake in Colorado by car?
Crystal Lake is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 3.570m (11,712ft) above the sea level, located in Summit County, in central Colorado, United States.
Located in the Mosquito Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America, the road to the summit is gravel and rocky. It’s called Co Road 2 and starts from Colorado State Highway 9, at Hoosier Pass. 4wd vehicle required.
The road is usually impassable from October to June. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor at any time of year. The road ends at 3.657m (11,998ft) above the sea level. Do not take this drive if you have respiratory problems or any type of heart condition.
