Hacking Lake
Hacking Lake is a high mountain lake at an elevation of 3.244m (10,643ft) above the sea level, located in Uintah County, in the U.S. state of Utah. It’s one of the highest roads of Utah.
Located near the east end of the Uintah Mountain Range, the road to the lake is gravel, rocky and treacherous in parts. It’s called FR 043. Weather conditions can change quickly and be harsh. Road closures can be frequent. 4wd vehicle required. Only travel on this road when it is dry. The road is impassable from October to June. Altitude and extreme weather are always a factor at any time of year. The road ends at 3.361m (11,026ft) above the sea level.
