Cerro Rubio
Cerro Rubio is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.002m (9,849ft) above the sea level, located in Los Alamos County, in north central New Mexico, USA.
Located on the eastern slope of New Mexico's Jemez Mountain Range, the road to the summit is gravel, rocky and treacherous in parts. Weather conditions can change quickly and be harsh. Road closures can be frequent. 4wd vehicle required. Only travel on this road when it is dry. Do not take this drive if you have respiratory problems or any type of heart condition. Altitude and extreme weather is always a factor at any time of year. The wind is usually quite strong at mountain areas. High winds blow here all year long.
