Big Horn Reservoir
Big Horn is a high mountain reservoir at an elevation of 3.727m (12,227ft) above the sea level, located in El Paso County, in the U.S. state of Colorado. It’s one of the highest roads of Colorado.
The road to the summit, located in the Rocky Mountains, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). 4wd vehicle required. Due to the high elevations and exposure, the road is subject to strong winds and rapid weather changes. Be prepared for the cold and wind! High winds blow here all year long. Even in summer you can confront with snowy days.
