Squaw Peak
Squaw Peak is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.698m (8,851ft) above the sea level, located in Placer County, California. Views from the summit are pretty spectacular.
The road to the summit is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s called Siberia Ridge Road. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. 4x4 vehicle required. The summit area was leveled by the FAA in the 1960's to install a radio range for airline navigation.
