Granite Butte
Granite Butte is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.318m (7,604ft) above the sea level, located in Lewis and Clark County, Montana, in USA.
The road to the summit, located within the Helena National Forest, is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. The road is rough towards the end and high-clearance vehicles are recommended. The road is usually impassable from October to June (weather permitting). Expect a trail pretty steep. The summit offers majestic panoramic views of the Scapegoat Wilderness, Big Belt Mountains and Scratchgravel Hills from atop Montana’s Continental Divide. At the summit there’s a lookout tower built in 1962.
