Deadman Hill
Deadman Hill is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.265m (10,711ft) above the sea level, located in Larimer County, Colorado, in USA. At the summit there’s a lookout tower.
The road to the summit, located within the Roosevelt-Arapaho National Forest, is gravel. It’s called Deadman Hill Road (Co Rd 170). The road is usually impassable in winters. It closes mid-November most years, and typically opens by April to late May, depending on snow conditions. The road is suitable for passenger cars. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. The summit offers good views of Rocky Mountain National Park to the south, and Bald Mountain to the north. At the summit there’s a lookout tower constructed in 1960.
