Telephone Canyon Road
Telephone Canyon Road is a short mountain road located in Clark County, in the U.S. state of Nevada.
Located in Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, the road is is gravel, rocky, tippy and bumpy at times. It’s 5.31km (3.3 miles) long. In the winter snow and ice are possible. 4x4 vehicle recommended. Thunderstorm activity can quickly change unpaved roads to four-wheel-drive condition or make them impassable. The last half of the trail has experienced a lot of wear from flash floods and has quite a bit of overgrowth, making it more difficult to navigate without damage to your vehicle.
The road is very narrow in some sections. This is a fairly short and easy drive up through the forest. The road links NV-157 Kyle Canyon Road and NV-158 Deer Creek Road. Expect a trail pretty steep. The elevation gain is 453 meters and the average gradient is 8.53%.
