Middle Mountain
Middle Mountain is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 3.610m (11,843ft) above the sea level, located in Chaffee County, Colorado, in USA. Full size vehicles should not attempt to drive all the way, as there are a few very narrow spots.
The road to the summit, located within the Sawatch Range, is gravel and pretty steep. It’s called Peek-A-Boo Gulch Road. A 4WD vehicle and an experienced driver are recommended. The views are amazing. Avoid driving in this area if unpaved mountain roads aren't your strong point. It’s impassable in winters. Bring your own water. The water of South Fork Lake Creek is not good to drink. You'll realize that if you taste it. It is acidic, and has high levels of aluminum, iron, and a little arsenic and copper.
