The 4WD dirt road to the lake is totally unpaved, with rocky and technical parts. It’s called Hunter Lake Road (#41392). It comprises steep sections, which make this a more challenging trail.
Can I drive my vehicle to Hunter Lake?
The road is a bit narrow for a full-size truck but still doable. You should have no trouble getting any SUV with real 4x4 up it. However, skid plates are recommended.
