Where is Aspen Mountain in Colorado?

The mountain is located in the central part of Colorado, within the White River National Forest. The summit is home to the Aspen Mountain Ski Resort Sundeck at the top of the lifts.

Is the Road to Aspen Mountain in Colorado Unpaved?

The road to the summit is completely unpaved and includes County Road 14 and County Road 15E. The road, which is steep in certain sections, remains at high elevation throughout the drive. Some parts of the road may be muddy even in dry weather due to shaded areas.

How Long is the Road to Aspen Mountain in Colorado?

Situated in the Elk Mountain Range within Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, the road to the summit starts from Aspen. It is 7.56km (4.7 miles) long on the way to Richmond Hill. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 996m, with an average gradient of 13.17%.
