Monument Peak
Monument Peak is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.188m (10,459ft) above the sea level located in Carbon County, in Utah, USA.
The road to the summit is called Forest Road 0018. It’s a gravel track pretty steep. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice.
With such a high summit altitude the road can be closed anytime due to snowfalls. The zone is prone to heavy mist and can be dangerous in low visibility conditions. A passenger car could get most of the way, if not the entire way if the road is dry. (It would be pretty hairy even in 4WD if it is wet).
