Calamity Pass
Calamity Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.956m (9,698ft) above the sea level located in the Jackson County, in Colorado, USA.
The pass is located within the Rocky Mountain National Park. The road to the summit, also known as Teller Divide, is a gravel 4wd track. It’s called Forest Service Road 740. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions. Avalanches, heavy snowfalls and landslides can occur anytime, being extremely dangerous due to frequent patches of ice. The road is a bit rocky and muddy in places. Last mile of approach from Rand is steeper and rockier than approach from Gould.
