Daisy Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,966m (9,730ft) above sea level, located in Park County, in the U.S. state of Montana.

Where is Daisy Pass?

The pass is situated north of Bull of the Woods Pass, in the southern part of Montana, near the Wyoming border. Near the summit, you can still find a few historic ruins left from the New World Mining District.

Is the road to Daisy Pass unpaved?

The road to the summit is completely unpaved. Known as Daisy Pass Trail Road, it’s an old mining road, and 4x4 vehicles with high clearance are required to navigate it.

Is the road to Daisy Pass open in winter?

Set high in the Beartooth Range, the road is typically impassable from November to May. For those who venture there in the warmer months, the drive offers beautiful views of the mountains.

How long is the road to Daisy Pass?

The trail is quite steep. Starting from US-212 (Beartooth Highway), the ascent is 6.11 km (3.8 miles) long with an elevation gain of 583m. The average gradient is 9.54%, making it a challenging yet rewarding route for experienced drivers.
