Lowell Observatory
Lowell Observatory is an astronomical observatory at an elevation of 2.210m (7,250ft) above the sea level, located in Flagstaff, in northern Arizona, in the southwestern United States.
The road to the summit is called W Mars Hill Road. It’s asphalted but pretty steep. The observatory was founded by Percival Lowell in 1894. Lowell is located at 7200′. You will want to pace yourself if you’re not accustomed to the high elevation. Avoid becoming dehydrated by drinking plenty of water. Dress in layers; evenings can be cold, even in the summer. In the daytime, wear sunscreen to protect against sunburn.
