Located in the southern part of Iowa, the bridge spanning the Walnut Creek was built in 1924. It is a steel pony truss bridge, very characteristic of rural roads and gravel tracks across the American Midwest.

How is the 320th Avenue Bridge?

It features a metal beam framework with a zigzag/triangular pattern along both sides, but without any overhead crossbeams connecting the top chords. The trusses are low, reaching roughly waist-height or the level of a vehicle's window. The steel structure displays a weathered, rusty brown color—a typical sign of aging steel or unpainted weathering steel exposed to the elements.
