The road to Hogan Pass in UT offers great scenic vistas
Hogan Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.736m (8,976ft) above the sea level, located in Sevier County, in Utah, United States.
Set high in the Fishlake National Forest, the road to the summit is totally paved. It’s called Utah State Route 72. The road is frequently closed during winter weather. One of Utah’s great scenic vistas can be seen here. From the summit you can literally see for hundreds of miles. It is truly one of the best views on Earth.
The pass road is 46.51 (28.9 miles) long, running north-south from US-50 to Fremont (in northwestern Wayne County). The road is steep in parts, hitting a 9% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
