Bald Hills Road is a very scenic drive located in Humboldt County, in the US state of California. It’s one of the most scenic drives in the Redwood National and State Parks.

Tucked away in the northwestern part of California, within the Redwood National and State Parks, the road is mostly unpaved. The road is accessible year-round. It’s pretty steep, ascending a steep 15 percent grade through old-growth redwoods and motorhomes/RVs and trailers not advised. It tops out at 972m (3,189ft) above sea level.
How long is Bald Hills Road?
The road is 51.01km (31.7 miles) long, running west-east from U.S. 101 (Redwood Highway) to CA-169. It offers many opportunities for elk viewing in an area that features redwoods, magnificent oak woodlands and prairies.
