Located within Zion National Park in southwestern Utah, the road is fully paved and stretches for 9.97 km (6.2 miles). It starts at the Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway and follows the North Fork of the Virgin River, ending at the Temple of Sinawava.

Is the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive open?

The road tops out at 1,362m (4,468ft) above sea level. From March through November, private vehicles are prohibited due to congestion, and visitors must use shuttle buses. These propane-powered buses run as frequently as every 6 minutes during peak season. In winter, visitors can use their own vehicles, typically on weekdays in December and daily in January and February.
