Set high on the western slope of Mount Humphreys on San Francisco Peaks, within the Coconino National Forest, the road to the resort is totally paved. It’s called Snow Bowl Road.

Located 12 miles outside of Flagstaff, the road to the summit is pretty steep, hitting an 11% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps. Starting at Highway 180, the ascent is 7 miles (11.2 km) long. Over this distance, the elevation gain is 671 meters. The average gradient is 5.99%.
