The pass is located south of Estes Park, in the northern part of Colorado.

Is Wind River Pass Paved?

The smooth road to the summit is fully paved and is known as State Highway 7 (SH 7). This highway is two lanes along the entire route, with some expanded sections in towns and cities.

How Long is Wind River Pass?

The pass spans 24.14 km (15.0 miles), running south to north from Allenspark (in northwestern Boulder County) to Estes Park (in Larimer County).

Is Wind River Pass Worth the Drive?

Set high in the Rocky Mountain Range, near the Twin Sisters Peaks, the drive offers stunning views and is a worthwhile scenic route.
