An Unforgettable Drive to Gold Hill Pass in UT
Gold Hill Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.060m (10,039ft) above the sea level, located in Summit County, in the U.S. state of Utah.
Tucked away in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. It’s called Gold Hill Road (FR160). It’s a rough dirt road suitable only to high clearance, low geared 2wd's or to 4wd's.
The road is 12.07km (7.5 miles) long running east-west from Mirror Lake Highway (U-150) to Forest Road 638. Set high in the Uinta Mountains, it’s seasonally closed and opened from mid-May through mid-October.
