Driving the breathtaking Las Vegas Convention Center Loop
Las Vegas Convention Center Loop is the name of an underground tunnel system located in Las Vegas, in the southern part of the U.S. state of Nevada.
Las Vegas Convention Center Loop (Tesla Loop) consists of 2.4km (1.5 miles) of tunnels with three stations: LVCC Central Station, LVCC West Station and LVCC South Station. The tunnel is totally paved. It’s 4,3 meters wide. The tunnel connects the LVCC New Exhibit Hall with the existing campus (North/Central/South Halls), and reduces a 45 minute cross-campus walk time to approximately 2 minutes.
Located underneath the convention center and built in April 2021 by the Boring Company (owned by Elon Musk), the tunnels are for Tesla vehicles only. The cars transport visitors to their end destination through the tunnels – avoiding surface traffic. The system is designed to transport more than 4,400 convention attendees per hour across the campus.
