Located near Moab, the trail is 21.56km (13.4 miles) long, running east-west from the paved US-191 towards County Road 145, near Hurrah Pass. This trail snakes back and forth across the floor of Kane Creek Canyon.

Plan about 3.5 hours to complete this idyllic little adventure. This trail is very popular and can be crowded on holidays seasons. A lot of camping spots around.
Is the Kane Creek Canyon Road dangerous?
The trail is open year round. Experienced drivers only. High-clearance SUVs and ATVs required. This is an intense drive featuring over 60 creek crossings, steep ascents and descents, soft sand, loose rock, large ledges, steep waterfalls, deep mud, and loose dirt. Even when the creek is low, you can encounter water 4 ft. deep in places. This trail is constantly being eroded, but is repaired often enough to keep it open. Heavy rains can make sections of this trail impassable. Make sure to check current conditions before setting out on your trip. Certain areas around the creek have washed out parts of the road. Beware as flash floods can impact the narrow canyon, so keep your eye on the sky.
