Tamarisk Road is a drive worth taking on the shore of Lake Mohave
Tamarisk Road is a scenic sandy road located in Clark County, in the U.S. state of Nevada, on the shore of Lake Mohave. It’s a stock friendly track but you’ll want four wheel drive and tires that have some gripping power in the sand.
Located within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, the road is sandy and rocky but manageable. It’s 3.86km (2.4 miles) long, running from Lake Mead Powerline Road. It runs parallel to Nellis Cove Road. The route is fairly flat and easy, a suitable for almost any vehicles. However, you may wish to have some tires which are good in the sand. Be sure to bring plenty of water.
