Eldorado Mountain, a private road to the summit
Eldorado Mountain is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.535m (8,316ft) above the sea level, located on the boundary of Boulder, Gilpin, and Jefferson counties in the U.S. state of Colorado.
Nestled in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, the road to the summit is unpaved. It’s a private dirt road. Near the top of the mountain is a large antenna field with two buildings.
Starting from Coal Creek Canyon Road, the ascent is 9.49km (5.9 miles) long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 556 meters. The average gradient is 5.85%. Views from the summit are spectacular.
