Davison Road, a scenic unpaved road in California
Davison Road is a scenic drive located in Humboldt County, in the U.S. state of California.
Located within the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, the road is mostly unpaved. It’s 10.94 km (6.8 miles) long starting from U.S. 101. After ⅓ (paved) mile, the road continues nearly 7 unpaved miles to its end at trailhead for Fern Canyon Trail. It’s one of the most scenic drives in the Redwood National and State Parks.
Plan around 30 minutes to complete de drive. Trailers and vehicles wider than 8-feet or 24-feet long are prohibited. The road ends at the sands of Gold Bluffs Beach and the 30-foot walls of Fern Canyon.
