Travel guide to Hunt Mountain, in the Big Horn Range
Hunt Mountain is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.062m (10,045ft) above the sea level, located in Big Horn County, in the U.S. state of Wyoming.
Located in the northern half of the Big Horn Range, within the Bighorn National Forest, the road to the summit is gravel and dirt. It’s called Hunt Mountain Road (U.S.F.S. Road 10). The road is pretty good and doesn't need 4WD unless it is really muddy or there is a lot of snow.
Accessibility is largely limited to the summer season. The road is 22.6 miles (36.37km) long, running from Highway 14A to Highway 14, north of Granite Pass.
