Travelling through the scenic La Lobera Road
La Lobera road is a dusty and bumpy track located in the west coast of the Mexican state of Baja California, driving to a magnificent sea lion crater. Known as La Lobera, the hole looks down into a sort of underground beach, which has now been populated by sea lions.
The track to this huge hole looking down onto an underground beach populated with sea lions is 5km off the Transpeninsular highway (Mexican Federal Highway 1) at Km. 47.5. The track is dusty, but two wheel drive friendly in dry weather. The path drives along the coast to the south for some wild scenery and water drama as the waves meet the cliffs.
