On the road that connects the communities of Carapan and Uruapan, there is a legend of a woman who suddenly appears in front of cars on foggy nights. Many travelers have said that she floats and her face cannot be seen, and due to the shock of seeing her, many have fallen into a ravine or crashed into a tree.

Los Azufres Road (Michoacán)
The story is told of a couple of lovers who were heading to the church to get married, but when they reached a very sharp curve, they crashed, so they never made it to the church where their relatives were waiting for them. Since then, the locals say that at night, when couples travel alone along this stretch, they see the ghosts of the couple crossing the road, causing the drivers to lose control of the vehicle and fall into the ravine where they will find their tragic death.
La Rumorosa (Baja California Norte)
La Rumorosa is considered the most dangerous as, on average, between 200 and 300 accidents occur each year.
