A narrow cliff road to San Pedro de Analco
San Pedro de Analco is a small mountain town (less than three hundred inhabitants) located in Mexico’s western state of Jalisco.
Nestled in the Sierra de Tequila mountain range, the road to the town, a small mining town, is really defiant. It’s totally unpaved (with large stones) and extremely narrow. The road features a rock wall on one side and the abyss on the other. The drive is very scenic.
Starting from Puente San Pedro Analco, Mexico's tallest reservoir bridge, the road is 9.4 km (5.84 miles) long running through the hills. 4x4 vehicle required. The road crosses 8 tunnels. It’s pretty steep, hitting a 23,7% through some of the ramps.
