The road to the lakes is entirely unpaved. It’s called Alpha Beta Gamma Lakes Road, also known as the Knuckleheads. The road is 34.4 km (21.37 miles) long, starting from Lang Bay.
Can I drive my vehicle to Alpha, Beta, and Gamma Lakes?
The trail can be traveled by foot, bike, motorcycle, or ATV. Several years ago, the road was drivable by car, but parts of the track have been washed out in recent years, making it nearly impassable now. Snow persists year-round, but it’s generally easy to navigate around.
