A challenging 4x4 trail to Watch Peak in BC
Watch Peak is a high mountain peak located in the province of British Columbia, Canada. A gravel road south of the summit climbs up to 2.403m (7,883ft) above sea level. It’s one of the highest roads in the country.

The peak is located in eastern British Columbia, near the border of Alberta, in the southern part of the country.
How long is the road to Watch Peak?
The dirt road to the summit is completely unpaved. It’s a mining road with steep sections. A 4x4 vehicle is required. Starting from Paradise Trail, the road is 1.5km (0.93 miles) long.
Is the road to Watch Peak open?
Set high in the Purcell Mountains, the road is usually passable from May 15 to November 30 each year.
