A challenging 4x4 trail to Mount Slade in BC
Mount Slade is a high mountain peak located in the province of British Columbia, Canada. A gravel road east of the summit climbs up to 2,464 m (8,083 ft) above sea level. It’s one of the highest roads in the country.

The peak is located in eastern British Columbia, near the border of Alberta, in the southern part of the country.
How long is the road to Mount Slade?
The dirt road to the summit is completely unpaved and is called Paradise Trail. It’s a mining road with steep sections and countless hairpin turns. A 4x4 vehicle is required. The road is 43.6 km (27.09 miles) long, running from the paved Toby Creek Road to Panorama.
Is the road to Mount Slade open?
Set high in the Purcell Mountains, the road is usually passable from May 15 to November 30 each year.
