Cide-Kastamonu Road
Located on the Black Sea region of Turkey, the Cide-Kastamonu road, part of the D010 road, is said to be one of the World’s Most Scenic Drives. The journey winds around the rocky hills and perfectly blue sea.
The road is mostly asphalted, with some sections very narrow. It follows the coastline pretty much with a few shortcts over some hills. The journey offers an exhilarating driving experience, with superb views. It offers the chance to see some of the most beautiful vistas, from the glistening turquoise sea to the mountain cliffs and evergreen forests.
The most scenic part of the journey is located between the cities of Cide and Kastamonu, two typical Black Sea port towns. This section is 101 km long. This is definitely one road trip that you want to record with lots of photographs. The Black Sea is still a remote area. The road is a delight to drive, with every kind of twist and turn. The coast is known to be wet and rainy in winter.
