Road trip guide: Conquering Uzungöl Yaylaları
Uzungöl Yaylaları is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.674m (8,772ft) above the sea level, located in Trabzon Province, in the Black Sea region of Turkey.
The road to the summit is totally unpaved It can be closed anytime due to snow. This is a maintained road where a high clearance 2WD vehicle is able to travel safely at low speeds on long dry straight-of-ways, without losing control due to wash boarding, ruts, or dips. The pass road is 23.7 km (14.72 miles) long, running from Çayıroba (Trabzon) to Eskice (Rize).
