Cam Geçidi is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.466m (8,090ft) above sea level, located in the Black Sea region of Turkey.
Where is Cam Geçidi?
The pass is located on the boundary between Artvin and Ardahan provinces, at the far eastern end of Turkey. At the summit is a small cabin. If you have your own vehicle, it's worth stopping for the views.
Is the road to Cam Geçidi paved?
The road to the summit is entirely paved. It’s called D010. It is very steep, with a maximum gradient of 14% through some of the ramps.
How long is Cam Geçidi?
The pass is 31.4 km (19.51 miles) long, running west-east from Yavuzköy (Artvin Province) to Sulakyurt (Ardahan Province). It is difficult to keep the pass open to traffic during the winters because of the harsh weather conditions due to high altitude.
