Erciyes is a ski resort at an elevation of 2.220m (7,283ft) above the sea level, located in Kayseri Province, in central Anatolia, within the ancient region of Cappadocia, in Turkey.
Tucked away on Erciyes mountain, the road to the town is paved in very good conditions. The higher points of Erciyes are covered permanently by snow through out the year. The resort sits on the main road from Kayseri, the seat of Kayseri Province to Develi.
West of the town, a minor gravel road climbs up to Erciyes Dağı (Mount Erciyes), a stratovolcano at an elevation of 3.330m (10,925ft) above the sea level.
